For me it's all the reasons above but also how it impacts the writing process, both challenging the writer to write with intention and also linearly. With a computer it is easy to write things out of order or go back and change and modify pieces, but a typewriter encourages a linear writing process. For many that is a hindrance but for me it is helpful.
